    What I really needed to see is how to reassemble the valve: getting the o-ring in the correct place was not really obvious but I finally figured it out..that the o ring goes between the cone-shaped piece bigger side and the far inside of the valve body...

    That pin that goes in and out with the water level is making a buzzing sound on my toilet when flushing and seems to get stuck in when I flush, I was wondering if I can just replace the pin and is there a spring inside it that gives it its springness

    • @650GSF
      @650GSF 5 місяців тому

      Hi, no there is no spring inside it, it just has a rubber diaphragm, it is the water pressure that pushes the pin back out, you can take it apart and give it a clan, that might resolve the problem. If not these are very cheap to replace,

    A truly crap piece of equipment ... They are fine when they are working but cheaply made .. Ive had 2 that have failed with the adjustment no longer working and the metal casing cracking on both ... Was only used in my own garden (not commercially) ..

      @650GSF 5 місяців тому

      I have seen a few people saying the adjustment runs out quite quickly, mine is still ok but it hasn't been worked to hard really, so far the only bad thing i would say against it, is about how noisy it is, you need ear defenders that's for sure.

      @@MrRapez Hi, that's strange having two black wires, but you can either use a vault pen like i am doing in my video, with the power of pull the two wires away from each other, and then turn the power back on, hold the vault pen next to each wire, the one that peeps on the pen is the live, or a more accurate way would be to use a Multimeter put the black lead of the meter on the earth wire on the switch, and then use the red lead to test the two black wires, the meter will show a hi reading on the live wire.

    Hang in there. These valves are commonly wrongly described as an isolation valve in the plumbing industry. They are correctly known as a service valve, to allow short term tuning or replacement of other more properly pressure rated valve components, such as a gate valve, or lever valve. They can be handy but really not a great solution.

    Hello Garry! I just saw your pantry removal video & i noticed this was posted a few years back. IT'S KILLING ME THAT I CAN'T FIND AN UPDATE OF HOW YOU FINISHED OFF THE WALL & HOW MUCH BIGGER YOUR KITCHEN MUST BE NOW. WOULD YOU SAY THE KITCHEN WORKS MORE EFFICIENTLY NOW? Did you decide on upper & lower cabinets? i know you mentioned wanting to extra surface counter space. 100% agree. We're in the U.S. & oddly enough this is the biggest kitchen I've ever had. The home is 4 bdrm 2 bth about 2700 square feet. YET the builder or designer created a "Pantry" that's quite literally the size of a broom closet. 😂. Common sense would say anyone who needs 4 bedroom may need to FEED the people living in those bedroom. 😂 Anyway, GREAT JOB& WE WOULD ALL LOVE TO SEE AN UPDATE OF THE NEW LAYOUT. This is very useful thanks. I liked the way you point out the relevant parts when you mention their names and cover the really important stuff like not over tightening on the nuts on the pipework underneath the toilet. Most of the vids on here are for side entry filler systems so not relevant to me. The camerawork could have been in better focus ! However i did like the slower pace so its easier to follow what you are saying. On many other guidance vids the guys talk too fast, or try to crack too many jokes. Then its harder to follow the key points. Unfortunaltey all this was in vain in my particular case as the plastic nut under the toilet was far too tight and far too difficult to reach - due to the toilet bing fitted too close to the side wall. So i'll have to call a plumber and get the whole cistern replaced with a more modern side fed filler pipe. Many thanks anyway for putting this on UA-cam. I did learn some useful stuff !

    • @tomjohnson6810
      @tomjohnson6810 Рік тому

      They are called Cotter pins and they are tricky due to being made of plastic ! You need to pinch the end in with a pair of (pointed end) pliers and then pull !. Its not ideal. Ii wish the makers would use metal pins instead of plastic. Its the same with parts under the engine bonnet on your car. The makers just want to use whatever is chepest for them without thinking of the needs of the end user !

    I'm on my 3rd machine in less than a month. First one was great proper little chomper but then the thread on the counter plate blade stripped and jammed so couldnt undo it I took it back to SF and the staff member was fantastic. Offered me a refund or a replacement no trouble at all orbeit I was s little concerned the same thing may happen again as the bolt just isn't strong enough. I took the replacement as I still had work to do. I took the replacement and literally 20 minutes into working the adjuster knob stopped turning and jammed... I was so frustrated as the machine really does a great job at shredding. I took the machine back two days later and again explained what had happened. The staff on this occasion couldn't have been any different. The assistant looked at me as if I'd done it deliberately and question how it had happened. She hadn't git s clue how the thing worked but clearly thought I'd done it deliberately. I asked if I could have one from another batch as possibly this batch had a simple fault of a dodgy bolt. But I was informed she had no idea how the batch system worked. I really didnt want another only to bring it hack again in s week or so with the same issue but still has 6 conifers to take down. Eventually she brought a replace6to the counter and opened it up before I even agreed to take it. She then insisted on checking the counter blade knob showing me it worked before I took it... I'm only hoping now the same thing dont happen again and gave even purchased a replacement m10 bolt from another supplier as I just done feel the bolt supplied I'd upto the job... Any one else had this problem???
